That either the operator or all parties contributing waste have taken all
practicable and financially viable steps (which will vary across the
Canterbury region) to ensure there is a minimum potential for further
reduction, reuse, recycling or recovery of energy from the waste stream at
each facility.

Becon Canterbury supports Councils to achieve their waste minimization goals.  Under the above clause, Councils are obligated to ensure that they make every effort possible for further recovery, and with Becon's advanced technology facility currently achieving 68-80% recovery from waste, Council waste collectors have no commercial or environmental reason to send waste into Kate Valley Landfill.  Please call Richard Lloyd, CEO, to discuss how we can partner you to meet your goals.
